Linguaschools Barcelona is a Spanish school for adult learners with two central school buildings in Barcelona. The school is part of the Linguaschools Spanish language school network and combines the personal atmosphere of a smaller school with reliable course organization, accommodation options and student support.

One building is located on Passatge Permanyer, close to Plaça Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia, while the other is on Carrer del Bruc, in the Eixample area near the Sagrada Família side of the city. Both buildings are well connected and give students easy access to public transport, cafés, shops, restaurants and many of Barcelona’s cultural areas.

The Barcelona school has bright classrooms and distinctive outdoor spaces, including private gardens and rooftop terraces. These spaces give students places to relax, study, meet classmates and take part in school activities outside the classroom.

Classes are taught in small groups by qualified native Spanish-speaking teachers using a communicative Spanish immersion method. The focus is on practical Spanish for real-life situations, with speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing adapted to the level and goals of each group.

Spanish courses in Barcelona

Linguaschools Barcelona offers Spanish courses for different levels, schedules and study goals, from short stays to longer-term study. The main group course is Intensive 20, with 20 Spanish lessons per week from Monday to Friday. Students who want more classroom time can choose Intensive 30, while students with less availability can consider Intensive 10, Intensive 8 or the Extensive 4 evening course.

Students who want a more personalised learning experience can choose private lessons or combination courses, such as Intensive 20 + 5 or Intensive 20 + 10, which combine group lessons with individual tuition.

The school also offers DELE/SIELE exam preparation, business Spanish, evening Spanish courses, and university pathway options where applicable. Courses are especially suitable for adult students, including short-stay language travellers, long-term students, expats, Erasmus students, interns, au pairs, digital nomads and international residents in Barcelona.

Accommodation in Barcelona

Linguaschools Barcelona offers accommodation options such as shared apartments and host families for students who want to organize their Spanish course and stay together. Accommodation is especially useful for students booking from abroad, students coming for a short language stay and longer-term students planning several months in Barcelona.

Shared apartments are suitable for students who want more independence. Students have their own room or share a double room if travelling together, and common areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and living room are shared with other students, international residents or locals, depending on the apartment.

Host family accommodation is suitable for students who prefer a local home setting and more contact with everyday Spanish outside the classroom. Meal options may include breakfast, half board or full board, depending on the selected option.

Accommodation is usually within approximately 15–25 minutes travel distance of the Barcelona school, depending on the option and availability.

Arrival in Barcelona

Fly to Barcelona Airport. There are regular coaches and trains form the airport to Plaza Cataluña, in the centre of Barcelona, from where you can take a taxi to your accommodation.

Alternatively, ask us to arrange an airport transfer for you. You will then be met at the airport and taken to your accommodation.

You should arrive at your accommodation before 22.00 (landing time maximum 20.00 at Barcelona (BCN) airport). If you arrive later, you may be obliged to reserve an airport transfer or you may be charged an extra fee.

Cultural activities in Barcelona
