Barcelona… The time is running out way too quickly here!
Now, I am sure this is the best city I have lived in.
What I love in particular is the permanent mix of cultures here. I guess the best example I can give is with one of my group of friends, we are from so many different places! Moroccans, Lebanese, Indians, Finnish, Japanese, Americans, Germans, Italians, Belgians, Pakistanis, Dominicans, Serbians… What a melting pot!
Everybody fits in very easily and there is a great balance, having a lot of fun, going out, partying. Exactly the things I love.
And so, what new places did I try?
To start, since the beginning of the month, I went to the gym, BasicFit. It is really nice, because itis open 24/7. So, for 25/30 Euros per month, I can go to train whenever I want to. And, the most convenient thing is it is really close to Estudio Hispanico!
I went to cut my hair too. LalemanaPeluqueria is a very good place! If you stay a long time and need to cut your hair, you should go there; they provide a very good service.
I tried a new bar and clubs too, which were all very cool!
First, the bar, Chupitos, it is a shot bar, with the largest selection I have ever seen: more than 600 shots available! Moreover, the presentation of it is amazing. For example, for the Marshmallow one, they put the bar on fire to grill your marshmallow, then you extinguish the fire in your shot, you eat the marshmallow and drink the shot. What a show! And all the shots I tasted were very good, very smooth. I really advise it! And if you go with your friends, it will just be amazing for you!
Now the clubs… I said in my last post I was not such a big fan of clubbing… I guess I just did not go to Barcelona early enough! Wow, I had so much fun in every single one I went with the crew!
The first one was named Small’s, as its’ name suggests, it was not a very big club, but the ambiance and the music were really good. It is not far from the metro Diagonal.
I went two times to Razzmatazz too. This club is amazing! A lot of rooms with very different ambiances, so everybody can hear the kind of music they like. They have also really good guest DJs. Next week, the Chemical Brothers will have a DJ set, and the day after, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Kygo will come too. I love this club!!
To mix things up a bit, I went to Arenas this month. Before, it was where bullfights took place. But after the abolition of this kind of entertainment, the place was changed to a huge commercial center, next to Plaza España. You can find everything there, it is pretty good.
So as you can see even when it’s not summertime in Barcelona there’s always something to see or do. It is a full of suprises!!
